.Halogen-Free Flame-Retardant Masterbatch: Cutting Off Fires at the Source, Safeguarding a Green Future

Traditional halogenated flame retardants, which release toxic gases such as dioxins during combustion, are gradually being phased out. Mufan New Materials focuses on halogen-free flame retardant technology, with phosphorus, nitrogen, magnesium and other environmentally friendly elements as the core. It achieves efficient protection through three major flame retardant mechanisms:

      -. Solid-phase carbonization: Phosphorus-containing components catalyze the formation of a dense carbon layer on the surface of the polymer, blocking the transfer of oxygen and heat (for example, adding 18% of the OP series to PP can achieve UL94 V-0 grade);

      -. Gas-phase flame inhibition: Nitrogen-containing compounds (such as MCA) release inert gases (NH₃, N₂) when heated, diluting the concentration of combustible gases and reducing the combustion rate;

      -. Synergistic enhancement: Phosphorus-nitrogen composite systems (such as OP+MCA) enhance the oxygen index (LOI) to over 32% through the dual action of "catalytic carbonization + gas dilution," far exceeding traditional single-component flame retardants.

     - PP Series: The series includes both drawing-grade (for woven bags and strapping) and injection molding-grade (for electrical appliance casings and automotive parts). Adding 4-6% can achieve a V-2 rating while maintaining the material's rigidity and toughness.

     - PE Series: Specifically designed for cable compounds (low-smoke halogen-free, in compliance with IEC 60332-1) and film-grade applications (flame-retardant tarpaulins, agricultural greenhouses). It offers excellent dispersion without crystal point exudation.

    - PA Series: Tailored for electronic components (PA6/PA66, V-0 flame retardancy). It has strong heat resistance and solves the problem of PA dripping.

   -PC/PS Series: Transparent flame-retardant masterbatch (light transmittance >90%). It is used for optical lenses and appliance casings, balancing fire protection and aesthetics.

   - TPE Elastomer Series: High-elasticity flame retardant (Shore A 60-90). It is used for automotive interiors and sports equipment, meeting both UL94 V-0 and RoHS standards.
